NCAA Football 08
When one talks about videogame football the first game that leaps out of the mind of gamers is Madden. But there is another good football game out this year next to Madden and that’s NCAA 08. Now I must admit that I’m in no way a college football fan, but after playing this game lets just say that my interest is piqued.
The first thing you’ll notice when playing NCAA is the new Shrine mode which lets you display replays and pictures of key plays. So when your buddies come over you can show them the 77 yard touchdown pass that won you the game. This feature is really cool and should be in every sports game EA makes.
The game play is little bit different than Madden, but at its core it stillfootball. There is a lot more scoring, interceptions, and fumbles than in Madden making the game rather interesting. Also the game seems easier to play and it’s not unusual to have scores that are in the 50’s. The game play modes range from your standard franchise mode to the legend mode which lets you create a player and play the game through his position. So if you choose to be an offensive lineman you’ll be blocking for your quarterback your halfback.
The games presentation really shines, the announcers are good and the way the league news is viewed is well done. Overall this is a really good game of football. If you’re a Madden fan or just a fan of football than you should give this a try.
