World War 2 has been the setting for so many games that it's hard to get excited about Hour of Victory. The game's main gameplay mechanic is that you can play as 3 different types of a soldiers. Each of these soldiers have there own skills that lets them progress through each level in a different way. The graphics look pretty good with detailed environments and guns. Its also cool to up into the sky and see planes whizzing by the battlefield.
The game feels sluggish and not really that different from all the other WWII games out on the market. If you want to play the best FPS based on WWII play Call of Duty 2 or wait for the next Brothers in Arms. Its just hard to take this game seriously because it does nothing new or fresh with the genera. It's worth downloading just to see what the games about, but then again it's not worth wasting hard drive space over.
